Charlene is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from East Stroudsburg University and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University.

Charlene is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from East Stroudsburg University and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. Since 2003, Charlene has maintained an active private practice providing individual counseling, couples therapy, and family therapy to those struggling with anxiety, depression, military trauma, life transitions, domestic violence, disabilities, and LGBTQ/Gender issues.

Charlene has also worked for the Coast Guard for over fifteen years, providing psychosocial and domestic violence assessments and therapy. Charlene has also dedicated her time to volunteering as a Crisis Intervention Counselor for Women’s Resources and served as a board member for the Coalition Against Rape and Abuse.

Charlene feels it is important to use her skills to help the community. As an active member of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, she often follows the Serenity Prayer as a guiding principle in practice: ‘God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
