I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have almost 2 decades of nursing experience, with 8 years in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Aspen University and immediately started attending Graduate School through the Chamberlain University, receiving distinct academic awarded Cum Laude.
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for clients across a lifespan. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.
